Scandinavian Keyboard [Linux|Dvorak]

Hello forum,

We are happy to use OIS in our low-budget game project, Black Ink.
Unfortunately, we've run into a bump.

I use a Scandinavian keyboard, which has more keys than a regular keyboard.
Usually the extra keys (ÅØÆ) would be in the right side of the keyboard - not very important to a game.

But I'm using the DVORAK keyboard layout, and Å is in the place of Q.
That key should be strafe left, but OIS reads me in "KC_UNASSIGNED". It does tell me the proper text though (Å representation).

Is there any way we could have those Scandinavian keys working, except for doing modifications on our end?
My apologies if there is a patch for this, I've not been able to locate it.
